The Big Move

I’m sorry I haven’t been updating much but we’re preparing for the big move soon. I shall blog more about that in my next post. For now, the house is in a huge mess with boxes everywhere. I hope Mummy remembers to pack all my toys in. I’m gonna miss my friends here.

Oh yes, I’ll also remember to blog about my recent (and last) road trip to Little Rock, Houston, Galveston and New Orleans. I had fun at the beach splashing around in the water.

Zonked out after Day Care

Daddy & Mummy took me to a doggy day care last week while they went shopping. It was my first day care and I had heaps of fun playing with the other dogs that I was zonked out when Daddy & Mummy came to pick me up. I heard that my folks are gonna take me there again soon. Yay!

Another Road Trip!

Sometime in mid May, my folks spontaneously decided to drive down to San Antonio for the weekend and what’s a trip without bringing me right? We set off really early on a Saturday morning because my folks were planning to visit the Seaworld at San Antonio. But they told me I had to stay in the hotel because Seaworld didn’t allow pets inside. Why??!? I’ll be good to the shamus and whales. I promise. Anyway since I couldn’t go in, Daddy and Mummy took loads of photos to show me. The shamus were really cute!

And the next day, we went to visit the riverwalk and the Alamo. Mummy wanted me to pose again for the photos.

Are we quite done yet? It’s getting really hot out here in the Texas summer heat. But Mummy says no. I needed to get a photo in front of the Alamo.

I thought we were going home after this but Mummy said she wanted to go to the outlet mall to shop. I asked Mummy if Daddy and I could just wait out in the car or chill by the cafe while Mummy does her shopping. Mummy said Daddy had to come along to pay for all the buys and I gotta go along too. Poor Daddy. I totally emphatized.

Don’t be fooled by this photo with no shopping bags. Mummy had bought loads. I was so tired after all the shopping that I just laid down for a photo.

We’re finally going home. Look at my sleepy eyes.

It wasn’t long before I dozed off. Good night world.

Scary Afternoon

It was a scary afternoon today! As you guys probably know, a dozen or so tornadoes ripped through Dallas-Fort Worth area. Our area also had the tornado warning but thankfully the tornado changed direction and missed us. The wind was so strong and the hail was hitting down against the windows. It was my first time seeing this and Daddy said to go hide in the garage till the tornado warning was over. Thankfully the hail and heavy rain stopped after a short while.

Winter Holiday

Sorry for my disappearance from the blog. I just returned a week ago from my winter escapade to Colorado and New Mexico. My folks decided to go for a skiing holiday in Colorado and because we were driving instead of flying this time, they brought me along on this trip! Yippee!

It was a long long drive from Texas to Colorado and this being my first long drive (my longest was 3 hrs to Oklahoma before this trip), I was rather fidgety in the car. But not too long after, I fell asleep in my crate.

And we finally arrived at the skiing resort at Winter Park! It was heavenly to see the snow everywhere cos’ Texas barely has snow. Dad and Mum immediately took me out to play in the snow once we checked in the hotel.

Now where is my ball?

Digging and digging for the ball. It must be hidden somewhere in the snow.

Oh boy! I finally found it!

I better paw-tect my ball from Daddy & Mummy. They always steal my ball.

I think they’re coming for my ball again. Let me run away with it.

Here’s me posing with the snow-capped mountains behind.

Ending this post with a video of me playing in the snow. It was an enjoyable trip and best of all, I spent it with Daddy & Mummy. I wanna go on more road trips!

Mummy’s New Experiment

Firstly, thanks everyone for the birthday greetings!! I woof you guys!! 🙂

Mummy is in the mood to try out new experiments in baking and it’s awesome cos’ I get to have more homemade treats. She has some pumpkin left over from my birthday cake and she doesn’t know what to do with it so she decided to use that and bake me some pumpkin and oatmeal biscuits!

Apparently I can’t seem to take the organic can pumpkin well. It makes me have slightly loose stool whenever I take them but I was alright taking the ones Mummy steamed for me. So strange. Mummy then remembered that when she used to give me the chicken and pumpkin biscuits, my stool was nice and firm and that’s when she decided to use the remaining can pumpkin and turned them into cookies for me. And boy, they turned out really well and I don’t get loose stool from that. Double yay!

Anyway Mummy used all the ingredients in estimation and thankfully the final product came out well. Mummy used to bake them in bone shape but she decided to make them in the shape of gingerbread man for me this time.

I’ve almost chomped off half of these. Yummy!

Happy 1st Barkday to Me!

I had a blast on my birthday last week. Mummy spent the morning baking my birthday cake. First, you’ll need all these ingredients.

Then you have to saute the ground beef. Mummy used the super lean ground beef.

There were no more photos of the cake baking process cos’ Mummy’s hands were dirty. Tada! The completed product. I was almost salivating! Mummy used yogurt to decorate the cake and the pumpkin to write my name.

Mummy made me posed for the photo but she said that I got to wait till Daddy comes home before I could eat my cake. *pouts*

Mummy also cooked me a sumptuous dinner. I can’t wait to tuck in!

And then Daddy comes home! Yay! I can finally eat my cake and unwrap my presents.

I’m finally digging into the cake! It is really yummy.

And then comes the unwrapping of present time.

Daddy Mummy, can I pppleaseeeeee play with the toy now?

I think I shall go for the treats first.

It was a great barkday and I woof my Daddy & Mummy for making this day so special for me!

My 1st Christmas

On the first day of Christmas my Daddy & Mummy gave to me, a big present under the white tree!

When can I open the present??

My Christmas presents! Thanks Daddy & Mummy!! Can I eat the goodies now???

Chomping on the bone. Yummy!

Earlier in the day, we also went to the off-leash park to play. Daddy & Mummy discovered this park near our house where the field for big dogs is as big as a football field. The field behind is for the small dogs.

Here’s me with a new friend. I think he wants the tennis ball in my mouth.

Mighty me running with the ball.

The obligatory sit and pose for photo.

What’s that behind?

I think I’m quite done for the day. That’s a whole lot of running today.

And this is my Christmas dinner! I can’t wait to eat it!

Merry Christmas to all!

White Christmas

It’s the time of the year to take out the tree with lots of balls. Well, it’s my first Christmas afterall and I’m looking forward to it cos there’s presents for me! But first, I have to help set up the Christmas tree.

Hmm how do I fix up this thing?? After some help from Daddy and Mummy, I finally got the tree up! See that present under the tree? That’s mine! I wonder what’s inside. Mummy says I can only open the present on Boxing Day.

As usual, Mummy had to dress me up to suit the Christmas mood.

Wearing the Santa hat was still alright but look at what Mummy made me wear next?!

Reindeer horns!!! Luckily Mummy didn’t put a red nose on me. Otherwise I’ll become Lucca the red nose dog-deer. Anyway here’s wishing everybody an early Merry Christmas!

Love-hate relationship with the vet

Sorry guys for not updating for some time. I was sick. Nothing too serious as I was still wanting to play even when I was sick. Over the last 3-4 weeks, I had diarrhea on 3 separate days and vomiting on 1 of the days. Poor mummy had no sleep just to take me out to potty. But I always miraculously get well the next day so Mummy didn’t think of taking me to the vet since I was still full of energy.

Just yesterday, I had diarrhea again. Mummy was all worried after the numerous diarrhea episodes and decided she’ll take me down to the vet. Mummy was telling the vet that she saw soft toy stuffing in my morning poop and the vet thinks that the toy stuffing could be causing an irritation in my tummy.

Vet did a poop test for me and everything was normal. Phew! I was really terrified of the Dr. He seems like a scary guy checking every part of me. He even told Mummy to keep all the soft toys away!! What a baddy right? The only good thing he told Mummy was to feed me more when I’m better cos’ I’m a little on the scrawny side. YAY!! I think that’s the best thing the Dr. ever said.

At the park!

Sorry for the lack of posts. Mummy has been lazy to switch on the computer for me to blog. We went to the park the weekend before National Day. I saw the ducks in the lake but the minute they saw me, they ran away again. I can only stare at them swimming away. Boo.

Mummy also made me posed for photos cos’ she wants photos of me with nicer background.

Are we quite done yet? I’m tired of posing for the camera. And don’t I deserve to get paid for being a model?

Oh well, it was still an enjoyable day at the park. Woof!

Barter Trade

My Mummy cooked pasta with fish last Friday and it smells really good. Mummy told me I can’t have any of those pasta as it’s not salt free and the fish is fried = unhealthy food for me. So I thought that MAYBE mummy might decide to give me some if I trade my favourite toy with her for food. So here I am with my blue monster. BUT there was no more food left! Daddy ate it all up!

Lucca: Mummy, can I trade my toy toy for some food pls?

Silly boy

Mummy says I’m a silly boy cos’ I was taking a drink in the kitchen last night and saw another dog staring at me in the oven. I stared and stared at it for a long long time. I even ignored Daddy when he called me. I thought I’m the only dog in the house? Why is there another one that looks like me?

(Mummy: Lucca saw his own reflection in the oven and thought there was another dog in the house. This wasn’t the first time he did that. He even went to the oven to lick the ‘dog’ when he saw it the first time.)
